The UL and Abrantix collaboration brings to the market the UL Brand Test Robot to automate payment terminal brand certification testing.

Testing payment terminals is usually a manual and repetitive process. It involves scenarios in which test operators must spend a considerable amount of time pressing buttons, entering pins and inserting cards. This is very time-consuming, not to mention the potential risk for human errors. To address these issues, UL releases the Brand Test Robot by integrating the AX Robot solution from Abrantix with its Brand Test Tool for payment terminal testing.

The UL Brand Test Tool is a worldwide recognized tool for payment terminal testing projects. And now, thanks to the integration with the Abrantix AX robot to perform test operator’s work, such as tapping, dipping, swiping the card and entering PINs into the card reader, the overall solution brings efficiency, saves considerable amount of testing time and minimizes the need for human intervention.

UL Brand Test solution

UL Brand Test Robot is the right test solution for Acquirers, Acquirer Processors, Merchants and Terminal Vendors, who are dealing with the execution of high volume repetitive test cases on payment terminals and are seeking for automated test environments that can make their testing process more efficient, while maintaining the required levels of quality and accuracy. Additionally, terminal manufacturers and payment acquirers may want to ‘stress’ their payment acceptance devices by performing very high number of unattended transactions and proof the durability of the terminal software.
